2. on purpose
- 뜻: for a reason, deliberately; 의도적으로, 이유를 가지고 : 주로 누군가가 잘못되거나 불공평한 일을 저질렀을 때 사용

- 뜻: to associate or work well with; to succeed or manage in doing; ~와 잘 지내다, ~에서 성공하다
- Terry isn't getting along with her new roommate; they argue constantly. (테리는 새 룸메이트와 잘 못지내. 맨날 다퉈)
- How are you getting on with your studies? (너는 어떻게 공부를 어떻게 관리하고 있어?)
4. to make a difference
- 뜻: to be of importance (to), to affect; 중요하다, 영향을 미치다
- It makes a big difference to me whether he likes the food I serve. (내가 제공하는 음식을 그가 좋아하는지 아닌지가 나한텐 엄청 중요해.)
- Does it make any difference to you where we go for dinner? (우리가 어디로 저녁식사하러 가는지 중요해?; (내가 이미 생각해 둔 곳이 있는데)저녁 먹으러 갈까?)
- No, it doesn't make any difference. (아니, 하나도 중요하지 않아.)
- It makes no difference to Lisa either. (그건 리사한테도 별반 중요하지 않아.)
5. to take out
- 뜻: to remove, to extract; to go on a date with; 제거하다, 추출하다; ~와 데이트하다
- Students, take out your books and open them to page twelve. (학생들, 책 꺼내고 12쪽을 펴세요.)
- Did you take Sue out last night? (어제 밤에 수랑 데이트 했어?)
- No, she couldn't go out with me. (아니, 그녀가 나랑 데이트 안했어.)
