1. so far
- 뜻: until now, until the present time; up to now, as of yet; 현재까지, 지금까지
- So far, this year has been excellent for business. I hope that the good luck continues. (지금까지, 이번 해는 사업에 훌륭했어. 이 행운이 계속되길 바래.)
- How many idioms have we studied in this book up to now? (우리가 지금까지 이 책에서 몇개의 숙어를 공부했지?)
- As of yet, we have not had an answer from him. (지금까지, 우리는 그한테서 답변을 갖지 못했어.)
2. to take a walk, stroll, hike, etc
- 뜻: to go for a walk, stroll, hike, etc; 걷다, 산책하다, 등산하다 등 (stroll은 천천히 걷는 것, hike는 힘이드는 걷기를 뜻함)
- Last evening we took a walk around the park. (지난 오후에 우리는 공원 주변을 걸었어.)
- It's a fine day. Would you like to take a stroll along Mason Boulevard? (날씨 좋다. Mason Boulevard 따라서 산책할까?)
- Let's take a hike up Cowles Mountain this afternoon. (Cowles산에 오늘 오후에 등산갈까?)
3. to take a trip
- 뜻: to go on a journey, to travel; 여행가다
- I'm so busy at work that I have no time to take a trip. (나 일하느라 너무 바빠서 여행갈 시간이 없어.)
- During the summer holidays, the Thompsons took a trip to Europe. (여름방학동안, 톰슨네 가족이 유럽으로 여행갔어.)
4. to try on
- 뜻: to wear clothes to check the style or fit befor buying; 사기 전에 스타일이나 핏이 맞는지 보기 위해서 입어보다
- He tried on several suits before he picked out a blue one. (그는 파란색 정장을 고르기 전에 몇 벌의 정장을 입어봤어.)
- Why don't you try these shoes on next? (다음으로 이 신발 한번 신어보는 거 어때?)
5. to think over
- 뜻: to consider carefully before deciding; 결정하기 전에 신중하게 고려하다
- I'd like to think over your offer first. Then can we talk it over tomorrow? (네 제안을 먼저 고려하고 싶어. 그러니까 내일 이야기 해 볼 수 있을까?)
- You don't have to give me your decision now. Think it over for a while. (지금 바로 결정할 필요는 없어. 잠시동안 생각해봐.)
